Gerti Bierenbroodspot is an artist, poet, painter archeologist and writer. After her studies at the Amsterdam School of the Arts she had her first exhibition in 1973. Many shows followed and Gerti, who is also good friends with Princes Beatrix, former Queen of The Netherlands, became one of the most famous and versatile artists in the Netherlands. Work of Bierenbroodspot was exhibited in various places in the Netherlands. Outside the Netherlands she exhibited in Brussels, New York, Amman and Beirut.

Röling experienced success from a very young age. She participated in dozens of exhibitions, both in the Netherlands and abroad, from the end of the nineteen fifties onwards. She was renowned for her fashion drawings in the nineteen sixties, as well as her portraits of, among others, Queen Beatrix dating from the nineteen eighties. In addition to her autonomous paintings and sculptures, assignments included artwork for public spaces.
