Roy Lichtenstein trained at the Art Students League in New York and Ohio State University in Columbus.Roy Lichtenstein is one of the most important representatives of American pop art. He is known for his works with the style elements from advertising, which became increasingly dominant in American post-war culture, and with enlarged grid points, derived from the offset print. Lichtenstein also made extensive use of the visual language of comics, with bright colors, speech bubbles, thick outlines, etc. Roy Lichtenstein has become world famous for his innovative way of working and is one of the most important American artists of the 20th century.

Roy Lichtenstein has exhibited from 1962 at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York, which actually meant his real breakthrough. Roy Lichtenstein’s work is in many museum collections all over the world and his sculptures can also be admired in many world cities.
